Joel's Version Numbering Technique (Mepo Platfloormer Demo)

The Number

The version number goes like this: Major.Minor.Mini (Ex: 6.7.9, 6.3.13, 6.17.3, 17.0.0, etc.)

Major updates are updates that are the following:

Level Completion

Fix in major, game-breaking bug that takes ages for me to fix

Minor:

Addition to levels

Fix in game-crashing bugs/notable bugs that should be fixed

Change in controls

Mini:

Regular bugs (ex: something wrong with controls, physics is pretty broken than usual, etc.)

Improvements to the quality of the game (ex: using more "efficient" methods of coding, improvements on lag)

SMALLER additions to levels

Anything else that's trivial and does not fit any category above for me

Notes

Whenever a major update comes, all other numbers reset (Ex: 4.7.3 to 5.0.0), and for minor it resets the Mini updates number (Ex: 4.7.12 to 4.8.0). Mini updates are too small and insignifigant to reset any number, just an addition to the Mini number (Ex: 4.7.9 to 4.7.10)
